2009 Prolouge Sparkling White/Blush Vintage - Champagne Brut - Champagne

This unique sparkling wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier,hand harvested at different stages of maturity. The Chardonnay, picked in early February, was slightly green with high acid levels, and the Viognier was picked in March at full maturity. Only the very light free run juice was kept and then cold fermented for 10 weeks to showcase the freshness and characters of the varieties including fresh pears and apricots. A great wine for celebrations!

2008 Nordic Frost Cold Pressed Dry Riesling Vintage - Riesling - White

These Riesling grapes were hand-picked from the oldest vines on the Lambert Vineyard, then chilled to 2 degrees centigrade prior to basket pressing to preserve the fresh citrus characters of the variety. This wine shows a beautiful dryness, common to Australian Rieslings.

2008 A Thousand Words Chardonnay Vintage - Chardonnay - White

This Chardonnay was hand-picked from the oldest vines on the Lambert Vineyard, basket pressed, then slowly cold fermented for a period of 6 weeks to retain the natural fruit characters of the variety. Light ageing in new French oak barrels give this wine a light nut and straw character with a complex finish.

2008 Tempt Me Tempranillo Vintage - Tempranillo - Red

Tempranillo is a popular Spanish grape variety selected by us with the belief that it is well suited to our Barossa Valley climate. Aged in French Oak Hogsheads for 15 months the wine is characteristic of light cherry, plum and strawberry, medium bodied with low acid and tannin finish. Well suited to accompany a range of appetisers and tapas.

2008 Forgive Me Zinfandel Vintage - Zinfandel - Red

This Zinfandel made on a winemaker's whim, without over extraction, aged 12 months in 50% Hungarian Oak and 50% French Oak, has produced an elegant wine with characters of freshly sawn ceder, black cherry and plum.

All three grape varietals were hand-picked from 30 year old vines on the Lambert Vineyard. The lightly scented characters of the Grenache grape, when blended with the fruity Shiraz and the soft, plummy Mouvedre, create a medium bodied wine with a medley of flavours, aged in oak for 6 months.

This honest, authentic Shiraz is dedicated to Kirk & Vanesa Lambert on there wedding and is the hallmark of the Barossa. For this wine fruit is selected from mature vines, and after fermentation, the wine spends 15 months in American and French oak before release. Intense with berry and licorice aromas, the 2005 Barossa Shiraz is rich and flavorsome. It is a perfect partner to beef and will age well for up to 10 years.

Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon has been Lindsay Stanley’s pride for decades, and this wine shows his vast experience and love for the variety. This was the first red wine made by Lindsay Stanley under his own label in 1991. This wine certainly set the precedent by winning the Cuno Pacific Trophy at the Barossa Valley Wine Show and to date has still a long way to go in the bottle. Beautifully structured and elegant, rather than overpowering, the 2005 Barossa Thoroughbred Cabernet Sauvignon has blackcurrant and plum characters, fine tannins and a soft finish. The wine drinks extremely well now, but will reward patience if cellared over several years .
