Description: Established in 2001, Oakdene is a boutique wine producer specialising in the varieties best suited to the region, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. Oakdene wines are made in small quantities, from high quality fruit, produced in low yields using meticulous vine management and crafted by proven winemakers. The wines are elegant, complex and reflect the true varietal character of our region. Oakdene’s Cellar Door, ‘the upside-down house’, offers visitors a unique tasting room with friendly and informative wine tastings of Oakdene’s range of award winning wines, while experiencing estate grown olive oil as well as wine and olive related gifts to peruse. The Cellar Door is open every day from 10am-4pm for tastings, tours and sales. Oakdene also boasts 2 eateries, the cafe, Mr Grubb @ Oakdene for casual dining and Marty @ Oakdene, the perfect place to match estate grown wines with an amazing contemporary menu. There is something for everyone at Oakdene. Marty @ Oakdene is open for LUNCH Wed to Sun from 12 noon, and DINNER Wed to Sat from 6:30pm. Mr Grubb is open 7 days, please check the website for seasonal hours. An original 1920’s homestead, Oakdene has been beautifully restored and boasts three uniquely themed accommodation rooms for an ideal romantic getaway, including in-room continental breakfasts, seasonal fruit bowls and coffee and tea facilities. • The Marilyn Room – hot pinks & smoky blacks • The Water Room – en-suite built into the side of an actual water tank • The Attic Room – warm chocolate décor overlooking the front gardens

Wines by the glass, espresso coffee and cheese platters are also available at the Cellar Door.

2013 Oakdene Pinot Grigio Vintage - Pinot Gris Pinot Grigio - White
Retail Price: $23.00
Pale straw with a pink tinge, displaying a lifted bouquet of nashi pear and apple blossom. Generous fruit weight, and mid palate richness, is supported by firm acidity, a mineral backbone and long finish.
Hand harvested early to retain acidity, producing a dry fruit-driven “Grigio” style.Best consumed young while expressing the fresh fruit driven characters of the variety.

2013 Oakdene Sauvignon Blanc Vintage - Sauvignon Blanc - White
Retail Price: $21.00
Pale straw, with an intense nose of tropical fruits, grass and green capsicum leads to lively palate of gooseberries, tropical melon, passion fruit and citrus characters. The palate is balanced by a steely acid backbone and a lingering finish. Hand harvested fruit and bottled early to retain fresh fruit driven characters.
A dry fruit-driven wine best consumed over the next few years.
