Redbank Winery has established a reputation for producing wines of excellent quality, consistency and value.

Details:
Neill & Sally planted their first vines in 1973; which consisted of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec varieties. Today there are 18 hectares (45 acres) under vine, which produce exceptional quality grapes. The original vineyard of Sally’s Paddock, named after Neill’s wife Sally, is still a non-irrigated single vineyard that continues to deliver a wine of wonderful complexity and depth.

In 1975, using local century old hand made red bricks, Neill built our steep-gabled winery, known as Redbank Winery. This today provides a fabulous ambiance to taste the wines and also enjoy the delicious hand made dishes, at the Flying Pig Deli.

2009 Sally's Hill Pinot Noir Vintage - Pinot Noir - Red

Retail Price: $23.90

Clear Ruby colour characteristic of Pyrenees Pinot Noir.

Fresh fruity nose with hints of Oak, Red Cherry and Violets. Signs of small barrel extended wood maturation.

Elegant and fresh palate. Typical Pyrenees Pinot character with slight gamey character but hints of mint and black cherry. A soft and well balanced wine a having quite long consistent finish for a Pinot. Fresh and dry fine integrated tannins on the finish.

A lovely flavorful wine delightful with Game, Duck or Pork dishes.

2009 Sally's Hill Chardonnay Vintage - Chardonnay - White

Retail Price: $21.90

Pale straw colour with hint of pale green.

Fresh lifted aroma of citrus, lime with some peachy wood background notes.

Fresh creamy palate with peach and mild tropical fruit flavours. Mouth filling and balanced. Some very subtle wood background. Light lime notes.

Lifted finish showing long balanced clean aftertaste.

A very lovely Pyrenees wine style which should develop beautifully in the bottle for 2 to 3 years.

2008 Sally's Paddock Vintage - Blends - Red

Retail Price: $59.20

We are delighted to announce the release of the 30th Vintage of Sally's Paddock with the 2008 bottling. This lovely wine has a vivid deep ruby red colour with a tinge of Violet. Fantastic legs. Lifted Cherry Liqueur aromas with some Cedar and Vanilla background lead to an overall character of ripe autumn berries and some subdued spice notes. Slightly dusty with a little leafiness. Soft, round and full palate, tasting of ripe berry fruit and lifted dark chocolate. New wood flavours are totally integrated. Fresh savoury middle palate with lingering complex wine flavours. Very long soft finish with hints of cloves. This wine is deceptively soft and easy to drink and will need some time to develop its latent power. Should keep well for up to 10 to 15 years.

2008 Sally's Hill Cabernet Franc Vintage - Cabernet Franc - Red

Retail Price: $21.90

These delicious wines have an unusual herbal/spice flavour and prominent tannins when young and usually develop quite rapidly, being ready to drink in five or six years (although some to keep indefinitely).

Great for savoury dishes when young they develop fine wine characters quite quickly and are great for the slow lunch, not too heavy.

Certainly worth a try if you are not familiar with them.

2007 Hundred Tree Hill Chardonnay Vintage - Chardonnay - White

Retail Price: $14.50

Clean straw colour, this fresh style Chardonnay is exhibiting Almonds, peach and hints of tropical fruits on the nose, with a fresh, lifted but balanced and subtle palate, showing lime and lemon acidity with a mineraly but refreshing finish.

2007 Hundred Tree Hill Pinot Noir Vintage - Pinot Noir - Red

Retail Price: $14.50

This pinot is a deep, dark cherry red colour, full and flavoursome as is usual with our Redbank Pinot Noir style. Lovely pinot flavours which should develop beautifully and will continue to develop for several years.

2006 Hundred Tree Hill Shiraz Vintage - Syrah-Shiraz - Red

Retail Price: $14.50

A rich, ruby colour this wine emits a complex bouquet of eucalyptus, cinnamon and cloves with an explosion of ripe mulberries. The palate is elegantly dry with a pleasing weight of spiced fruit. It finishes with good length, fine acid and subtle oak flavours.

2005 Sally's Hill Cabernet Vintage - Cabernet Sauvignon - Red

Retail Price: $21.90

This cooler climate style has a stunning depth of red-purple colour with aromas reminiscent of crushed violets. A fair proportion of Cabernet Franc in the blend softens the powerful tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has a beautiful soft mid palate and finish, with lots of Cabernet flavours and fine grained tannins married with new French oak.

2005 Hundred Tree Hill Cabernet Vintage - Cabernet Sauvignon - Red

Retail Price: $14.50

Deep red colour, this Cabernet has intense bouquet of violets, cloves and spices with subtle underlying French oak. An intense and restrained palate, exhibiting eucalypt, bramble and tobacco leaf. The well integrated flavours include mown hay, cigar box, cedar and fine grain, soft tannin with length and subtle integrated oak.

0 Sasha - Sparkling - White

Retail Price: $14.50

Made in an easy to drink style, this non-vintage brut was named after the youngest member of the Robb winemaking family, Sasha. A Chardonnay/Pinot Style, Sasha is a fresh, elegant wine showing subtle flavours with a long, creamy finish. Additional complexity is gained through malolactic fermentation and lees contact.
